241 students martyred in US-Zionist criminal attacks on Iran: Education ministry

At least 241 students have been martyred and 178 others wounded during the first 34 days of the Ramadan War, as the United States and the Israeli regime continue their relentless aggression against the Islamic Republic, Iran's Education Ministry has announced.

Hawzah News Agency- Hossein Sadeghi, head of the information center and public relations of the Ministry of Education, said that since the start of the war, 241 students have been martyred in the US-Zionist attacks on the country.

134 boys, 100 girls martyred

Sadeghi provided a detailed breakdown: of the total, 134 male students and 100 female students have been martyred. Additionally, five male pre-schoolers and two female pre-schoolers have also lost their lives.

56 education staff martyred

The official further reported that 56 education staff members have been martyred in the criminal enemy attacks. Among them, nine were male teachers, 38 were female teachers, six were retired male staff, and three were retired female staff.

Hundreds of schools damaged

Sadeghi added that 178 students have been wounded in the criminal attacks, along with 24 education staff members.

He also stated that 763 educational facilities have been damaged since the beginning of the Ramadan War. This includes 51 administrative buildings, 15 cultural centers, 32 sports halls, and seven student camp facilities.

Tehran, Kermanshah hardest hit

The official noted that the provinces of Tehran and Kermanshah have suffered the highest number of damaged schools.
